Enicar Star Jewels: Transitional Vintage

April 19, 2018 By Stephen Leave a Comment

Today’s Watch A Day is another Enicar, representative of the transition from 1960s to 1970s styling. This Star Jewels automatic has lots going for it though perhaps it’s not a 100% match for the vintage James Bond strap.

April 9, 2018 By Stephen Leave a Comment

Today’s “Watch A Day” is one that surprised me. I bought this Enicar Sherpa Super Divette on a whim, not realizing the beautiful shape and historical importance of the watch. Now it’s one of my favorites, a vintage diver with a stylish Tropic strap!

Fame and Fortune, or Why Some Vintage Watches Are Worth More Than Others

March 1, 2014 By Stephen 3 Comments

Today, a vintage Rolex Explorer or Jaeger-LeCoultre Geophysic can command $10,000 or more, yet I just purchased a beautiful Nivada Antarctic at auction for just € 450.
